God's Work, Our Hands
Every month Messiah's Good Samaritan Ministry gives church participants opportunities to help those in need in our community. Purchasing gifts for families, raising funds for the Foods Resource Bank or the Tri-County Pregnancy and Parenting Center, and serving our local food pantry, are only a few examples of Messiah's response to our Lord's calling.
PADS (Providing Advocacy, Dignity and Shelter) is a shelter for the homeless located at Messiah on Saturdays, October through April. Everyone is invited to get involved. Work a shift, provide food, or do laundry as part of this ministry of hospitality. You can sign up to volunteer here. Learn more at www.lakecountypads.org. You can also give a monetary donation to PADS at Messiah by clicking here.
Habitat for Humanity builds homes in Lake County. Messiah participates in this ministry on the second Saturday of each month. Participants sixteen years and older are welcome. Call Bert at 847-946-8618 for more details.
Our pastors lead worship at the Wauconda Care Center the first Wednesday of every month at 10:30am and Good Shepherd Hospital the second Thursday of every month at 10:30am.
Messiah also works in partnership with Love INC (In the Name of Christ) of Southwest Lake county, which is based in Wauconda and helps connect people in need with resources to help. Visit www.loveincsouthwest.org to learn more.
